Northern Kentucky Council of the Blind
The Northern Kentucky Council of the Blind serves Covington, Florence, Newport, Erlanger and surrounding areas. The chapter meets at 7 PM on the second Monday of the month by conference call; in person meetings may occasionally be held at local restaurants.
NKCB works to raise public awareness about vision loss, and advocates for improved services in the area. Some of our past activities have included sponsoring a bingo night at the Golden Towers Retirement home, collaborating with local officials to host a white Cane Safety Day and brailling menus for some local restaurants.
Our meetings are open, so visually impaired individuals and their family members are welcome to join us to learn about resources, share information/ideas and to find out more about membership!
