How to Listen

Listen to Sound Prints, a weekly audio magazine brought to you by the Kentucky gCouncil of the Blind. Sound Prints covers news, issues, products and resources of interest to blind and visually impaired people. Hosted by KCB Treasurer Carla Ruschival, the magazine features a mix of local, state and national topics, all discussed by a wide range of guests from around the United States. Listen to Sound Prints in one of the following ways:

  • ACB Media 1 at www.acbmedia.org or on the phone at (518) 906-1820. Here’s the broadcast schedule; all times are Eastern:
    • Sunday – 8:00 PM
    • Monday – 8:00 AM
    • Tuesday – 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
    • Wednesday – 4:00 AM and 4:00 PM
    • Thursday – 10:00 PM
    • Friday – 1:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 1:00 PM
  • Enable the ACB Media skill on any Amazon Alexa device and then just say “Alexa, open ACB Media. Alexa will ask what channel you want to hear; just say ACB Media 1 and you will be connected to the correct stream.
  • Sound Prints is available as a podcast from the KCB website or through the iTunes store. Add kentucky-acb.org/soundprints.xml to your favorite podcast device, or subscribe by searching for soundprints under podcasts in the iTunes store, and you won’t miss a single show. You can also listen to the Sound Prints podcast on your Victor Stream.
  • You may also listen anytime to Sound Prints on your Alexa or Echo device. Just say, “Alexa, play the podcast Sound Prints.”
  • Sound Prints is now available on KCB’s Audio Information Service from any landline or cell phone. Dial (773)572-6318 and select number 9 from the menu.
  • Radio Eye – Saturday at 1:00 and 9:00 p.m.; Sunday at 5:00 a.m. Radio Eye is a radio reading service originating in Lexington and heard throughout central Kentucky, many areas in eastern Kentucky, and the Louisville area. Find out more about Radio Eye here.
  • Listen any time here on the KCB website by clicking the listen or download link below.
  • Can’t listen on the Internet? Do you know someone who would enjoy Sound Prints, but he or she can’t use a computer? No problem. Sound Prints is available on audio CD. Just email us at kcb@kentucky-acb.org or call us at 502-895-4598 and we will be happy to mail a copy of the magazine each week, free of charge.You will need an MP3 compatible player such as Winamp to listen to the magazine on ACB Radio.
