Meet the Kentucky LowVision Alliance

Are you having vision problems due to diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa etc.? Do you sometimes feel as if you are the only person out there with vision problems, and the rest of the world just doesn’t understand that you don’t see so good? The Kentucky Low Vision Alliance (KLVA) is just for you. KLVA is a chapter of the Kentucky Council of the Blind and the Low Vision Alliance.

KLVA in-person and virtual support groups let you share tips and ideas for living with low vision, no matter where you call home. Programs include speakers such as low-vision specialists, doctors, and service providers. Discover low-vision devices and services that might be helpful to you.

KLVA holds a support call at 8 PM on the first Wednesday of each month and a business meeting at 8 PM on the third Wednesday of the month, both on Zoom. We also have an in-person support group meeting on the second Saturday of the month in Louisville. The time is from 10 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern; the place is United Crescent Hill Ministries, 150 State Street. The meeting is free, and a light breakfast is included.
